Ricardo L Arias - General Manager
Ricardo graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He completed aquaculture training in Pusan, South Korea, and then worked in shrimp culture, tilapia culture and tropical fish breeding. Ricardo oversaw developing the Aquaculture Experimental Station at the Universidad Central del Este, Dominican Republic.
With 30+ years’ experience in the aquaculture industry, Ricardo was General Manager of Aquatic Eco-Systems, a leading global aquaculture catalog company selling and distributing aquaculture related equipment. During his tenure at AES he was instrumental in development of sales internationally by creating and managing the International Division of AES. Most recently, Ricardo served as the Global Sales Manager for LATAM of Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems where he oversaw executing sales strategy for the Latin America region.
In this capacity Ricardo provided technical support bringing solutions on systems design for shrimp and fish hatcheries, recirculating systems and grow-out aquaculture systems.
Ricardo’s previous job was as the Young Animal Nutrition Lead in Shrimp for Cargill Aqua Nutrition – North America in charge of developing and executing sales of Liqualife hatchery starter diets in LATAM and Asia.
