The Beginner’s Aquaculture System

This fish system is designed for large footprints (10’x20’) and has been designed as a turn-key unit for the aquaculture enthusiast or education specialist. The system offers the opportunity to support a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) curriculum that includes a wide range of subjects, including aquatic science, math, engineering, chemistry and more. It is a natural fit for STEM education and preliminary learning in the backyard.

AQUACULTURE TECHNOLOGY FEATURES

• Total system size equals 900 gallons (fish tanks + filters)

• Two (2) 400-gallon fish tanks

• Mechanical & biological filtration

• Airlifts and air pump

• Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) platform and adjustable pedestals for support

• System uses less than 2.0% of its volume daily

• 300 pounds maximum of warmwater fish production annually (freshwater environment)

• Maximum daily feed input of 1.25 pounds of a 32% protein (freshwater environment)

• System is freshwater and saltwater compatible

• API freshwater test kit

• Two (2) 12-hour baby belt feeders
