These 1.5-inch diameter, floating bio-balls are made with high density polypropylene ensuring they are durable and the bio-ball will not break like some of the cheaper made products out there using lower grade materials.
The are approximately 2,000 bio-balls per box (2.7 cubic feet/box) and 780 bio-balls per cubic foot. Each cubic foot weighs approximately 10.0 pounds.
Each box of bio-balls provides approximately 315 cubic feet of surface area in total or approximately 115 cubic feet of surface area per cubic foot of media making it an ideal product for biofiltration in aquatic systems.
